Grantham is a pleasant red-brick town with an extremely interesting parish church. St Wulfram’s has the sixth highest spire in the country at 85 metres high! Sir Isaac Newton was also a resident of Grantham and lived here through his early education; a statue of him can be found outside the Guildhall. The town’s museum, St Peter’s Hill, has sections devoted both to Newton and to former Prime Minister, Lady Margaret Thatcher, who was born in Grantham in 1925.
