The London Eye

Find hotels near the London Eye

The British Airways London Eye or Millennium Wheel is the world's largest observation wheel at 135 metres high. The London Eye, so called because it provides fantastic views across London, provides a 30 minute slow moving "flight" over London. The wheel is intended to represent the elements of air, water, earth and time with a circle of white light within the rim of the wheel glowing through the skyline. The passenger capsules can take up to 25 people at a time and can accommodation 1500 visitors every hour. The wheel never stops but is so slow moving that there is plenty time for 25 passengers to enter a capsule without the wheel having to stop.
