How to get to Chester Zoo

You can get to Chester Zoo by train by disembarking at Bache or Chester Central Stations. By road you should take the M53 to junction 10 and follow the signs onto the A5117. At busy times it is suggested you take junction 12 off the M53. Chester Zoo is approximately 40 minutes from Liverpool, 50 minutes from Manchester and 60 minutes from Stoke.

Opening Times

The zoo is open every day, except for Christmas Day, from 10am. Closing times vary according to the season but can be 3.30pm in the Winter and 5.30pm in the Summer.
